Starting 1 October 2024, a pre-application process called the visa ballot has been initiated under the Working Holiday Maker (WHM) program.
Visa ballot registration is now open for the following high-demand Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) countries:
- China
- India
- Vietnam
The Department of Home Affairs will randomly select registrations throughout the 2024-25 program year. Successful candidates will be notified via email and will be instructed to apply for a first Work and Holiday visa online. Applicants must meet all standard eligibility requirements for Subclass 462 to be granted this visa for entry into Australia.
