The MATES stream visa for subclass 403 allows Indian nationals to register in a ballot and be randomly selected to apply for the visa. The OZtralian Government will allocate 3,000 temporary visa places per program year for primary applicants, who can bring their family members.
To apply for the Subclass 403 MATES stream visa, you must first register in the MATES ballot. If selected, you can then apply for the visa.
Eligibility requirements for the ballot include:
- Holding a valid Indian passport
- Holding a valid Permanent Account Number (PAN) issued by the Indian Government
- Being aged 18-30 years at the beginning of the ballot registration period
- Not being already registered in the MATES ballot
- Having a valid email address
- Agreeing to the registration form declarations
The ballot registration fee is AUD 25, and registrations for the first MATES ballot will open in December 2024.
