Cybersecurity Engineers (also known as ICT Security Engineer/Information Security Engineer) play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure software applications and systems; ensures they are fully integrated.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing Secure Systems: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand security requirements and develop secure system designs. Consider various aspects such as access controls, encryption, authentication mechanisms, and secure communication protocols to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Developing Secure Software: Actively participate in the software development process, applying secure coding practices and implementing security controls to mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Review code, conduct security testing, and provide guidance to developers on secure coding techniques.
  • Modifying and Enhancing Security Solutions: Continuously monitor and analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Assess the effectiveness of existing security solutions and make modifications or enhancements to strengthen the security posture of applications and systems.
  • Documentation and Technical Writing: Document the design, implementation, and configuration of cybersecurity systems and applications. Create technical documentation, including security guidelines, procedures, and best practices, to ensure proper implementation and ongoing support.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Conduct security testing and evaluation of software applications and systems to identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential attack vectors. Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews to assess security risks and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Implementation and Support: Oversee the implementation and deployment of cybersecurity solutions, ensuring that they are properly integrated into the existing infrastructure. Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of security systems to ensure their continuous operation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Assess risks, monitor security controls, and implement measures to mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.

Cybersecurity Engineers are dedicated to safeguarding systems, applications, and data from cyber threats. You work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network administrators, and management, to ensure the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
