The position involves providing nursing care to patients with conditions, such as infections, metabolic disorders and degenerative conditions, which require medical intervention in a range of health, aged care and community settings. Registration or licensing is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing and monitoring patients’ medical conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in health status.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and healthcare providers.
- Performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results to assist in the diagnosis and management of patients’ conditions.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Providing education and counselling to patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Assisting in medical procedures and surgeries, ensuring proper preoperative and postoperative care.
- Monitoring and managing patients’ pain levels and providing appropriate interventions.
- Documenting patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in a clear and concise manner.
- Ensuring patient safety and infection control measures are followed at all times.
- Responding to emergencies and providing immediate medical interventions as needed.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to coordinate patient care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying updated with the latest medical advancements and evidence-based practices.
