Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s health, growth, and development.
- Providing support and education to parents and caregivers on various aspects of child care, including parentcraft, feeding, and general child health and safety.
- Assisting with immunizations and ensuring children receive necessary vaccinations according to established schedules.
- Monitoring developmental milestones and identifying any delays or concerns that may require further evaluation or intervention.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide coordinated care and support for children and their families.
- Conducting home visits to assess the child’s environment, offer guidance on childproofing, and address any concerns or challenges within the family.
- Providing guidance and support to parents in managing common childhood health issues, such as nutrition, sleep, and behavioural challenges.
- Offering emotional support and counselling to parents and family members, addressing concerns related to parenting, child development, and family dynamics.
- Participating in health promotion activities, including community education programs and workshops on child health and parenting skills.
- Documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and maintaining up-to-date records.
