Your responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the physical, emotional, and social needs of elderly individuals and developing individualized care plans.
  • Providing direct nursing care to meet the healthcare needs of elderly patients, such as administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing chronic conditions.
  • Assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and toileting.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members, to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care.
  • Monitoring and managing changes in the health status of elderly patients, promptly reporting any concerns or deterioration to healthcare providers.
  • Educating and providing guidance to patients and their families on managing chronic conditions, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring a safe environment for the elderly.
  • Promoting the mental and emotional well-being of elderly individuals by providing companionship, and emotional support, and engaging in activities that enhance their quality of life.
  • Assisting in end-of-life care and supporting patients and their families through the palliative care process, including pain management and emotional support.
  • Advocating for the rights and dignity of elderly patients and ensuring their needs are met with respect and sensitivity.
  • Documenting patient care activities, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to legal and ethical standards.
