Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating risk management policies and programs to ensure safe and healthy working conditions.
  • Training employees in occupational health and safety procedures, promoting awareness, and fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Conducting regular monitoring and audits of the workplace to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Recording and investigating incidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, such as management, employees, and safety committees, to address occupational health and safety concerns.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on occupational health and safety matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
  • Developing and delivering training programs and materials to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Participating in the development of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and crisis management strategies.
  • Monitoring industry trends and advancements in occupational health and safety practices, and recommending improvements to enhance workplace safety.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
  • Keeping accurate records and documentation related to risk management, incident reports, inspections, and training activities.
