As a Personal Care Assistant, your role primarily revolves around providing routine personal care services to individuals in various healthcare facilities or within the comfort of their own homes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting individuals with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Supporting individuals in maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Providing assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring dietary needs.
  • Assisting with medication reminders and simple healthcare procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in the individual’s condition or any concerns to the appropriate healthcare staff.
  • Providing companionship, emotional support, and engaging in social activities to enhance the well-being of individuals.
  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks, such as maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure coordinated and person-cantered care.
