Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning and Design: Collaborating with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive plans. Assesses site conditions, conducts feasibility studies, and creates detailed designs that meet technical specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Project Organization: Organising and coordinating project activities, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling. Manages project timelines, monitors progress, and ensures that projects adhere to established budgets and quality standards. Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Construction Supervision: Overseeing the construction phase of civil engineering projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Monitors construction progress, inspects worksites, and addresses any technical issues or conflicts that may arise. Provide guidance and support to construction teams to ensure project success.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying and assessing potential risks associated with civil engineering projects. Conducts risk analysis, develops risk mitigation strategies, and implements appropriate measures to minimize project risks. Prioritise safety and implement measures to protect workers, the public, and the environment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, environmental specialists, and surveyors, to integrate their expertise into project designs and plans. Communicates project requirements, specifications, and progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment of project goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Stays updated on local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards. Obtain necessary permits and approvals, and work with regulatory authorities to ensure project compliance.
  • Operation and Maintenance: Providing guidance on the operation and maintenance of completed civil engineering projects. Develops operation and maintenance manuals, conducts inspections, and recommends maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the long-term functionality and durability of the infrastructure.
