Occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).
Registration or licensing is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Estimate salary aud$65,000 up to aud$120,000 per year.
Tasks Include:
- Administering tests for muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities to identify and evaluate patients’ physical issues.
- Designing treatment plans to address patients’ specific problems.
- Providing treatment to reduce pain, enhance circulation, strengthen muscles, improve cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, and respiratory functions, restore joint mobility, and enhance balance and coordination.
- Utilizing therapeutic techniques such as exercise, heat, cold, massage, manipulation, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, ultraviolet and infrared light, and ultrasound for patient treatment.
- Regularly reviewing, monitoring, assessing, and evaluating programs and treatments.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals as necessary to discuss patients’ issues, needs, and progress.
- Instructing patients and their families on procedures to be continued at home.
- Documenting administered treatments, patient’s responses, and progress.
Developing and implementing screening and preventative health promotion programs.
