Your key responsibilities can include:

- Material Testing and Analysis: Conducting various tests and analyses on metal samples to evaluate their mechanical, physical, and chemical properties. This may involve using specialized equipment and techniques, such as microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing.
- Risk Assessment and Safety: Identifying potential hazards and risks associated with metallurgical processes and developing safety protocols and procedures to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other professionals, such as engineers, technicians, and production staff, to collaborate on projects, provide technical expertise, and communicate findings, recommendations, and progress reports.
- Environmental Impact Assessment: Assessing the environmental impact of metallurgical processes and developing strategies to minimise pollution, waste generation, and energy consumption.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice pertaining to metallurgical processes, workplace safety, environmental protection, and product quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in metallurgical processes, equipment, and product quality, and implementing measures to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records, documenting procedures, test results, and findings, and preparing reports and presentations to communicate technical information to stakeholders.
