Dental Practitioners are responsible for diagnosing and treating dental diseases, as well as restoring normal oral function through a wide range of treatments including surgery and specialised techniques. They also provide guidance and advice on maintaining oral health.

Registration or licensing is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Estimate salary aud$170,000 up to aud$230,000 per year.
Tasks Include:
- Diagnosing dental diseases through various methods including radiographs, salivary tests, and medical histories.
- Providing preventive oral healthcare treatments such as periodontal therapy, fluoride applications, and oral health promotion.
- Offering restorative dental care, including complex crown and bridge restorations, implants, and orthodontics, while also repairing damaged and decayed teeth.
- Conducting oral surgical procedures such as tissue biopsies and prescribing medications when necessary.
- Performing routine orthodontic treatments.
- Restoring oral function through the use of removable and fixed oral prostheses.
- Assisting in the identification of general diseases that manifest with oral symptoms, such as diabetes.
- Educating patients on oral care practices and maintaining oral health.
- Leading a dental team, which may include Dental Hygienists, Dental Therapists, Dental Assistants, and other Dental Specialists.
