Effective 7 December 2024, the OZtralian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) will become the assessing authority for the Early Childhood (Pre-primary School) Teacher (ANZSCO 241111) occupation. All skills assessment applications already submitted to the OZtralian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) will be completed using AITSL’s assessment criteria. AITSL will continue to accept applications until midnight on 6 December 2024.
While the assessment criteria of AITSL and ACECQA are quite similar, there are some differences, including qualification assessments and English language proficiency requirements. Additional requirements and detailed information can be found on the respective websites.
